More Sad Good-byes

Lovely Caitlin and Richard Costley-White hosted a party for us tonight. They had a boy, Nathaniel in with Lucas last year and this year their Jeremy is in with Lucas. Both boys are darling but this Jeremy is in direct competition with Oscar Varkey for being the cutest dot ever! I do like 'em with a dose of imp and these two monkeys are imp all over!

 

Back to the party. It was at the incredibly gorgeous Costley-White Rosedale home. Fabrics, chandeliers, furniture, artwork. My head was spinning. Then thirty of our closest friends we have made at the school came and said good-bye. Richard made a perfectly beautiful speech. It was all far too sad. Really beautiful and horrible at the same time. Honestly what's the point of making such beautiful friends when you have to say good-bye?! They are all so good to us. Everyone wrote or said the nicest things to us about us.They say that we were really good to the school. But how could you not be? Really it's such a beautiful place. It's a combination of Waldorf plus downtown. I think it's about intellect plus spirituality. I don't know what it is but they're great folk and I'm glad we get to have them in our lives forever. They're all coming to visit us. They promised.
