Day 94 - March 13, 2010
Elliot had a sleep-over at his little friend's house last night. The first Canadian sleep-over. He loved it. Except for the boy's tarantula he keeps in his room. The mum had to take it out. But they're a really great family so we're very happy that Elliot was brave enough to stay out all night.
What's with this drippy weather? We can get this kind of stuff in Melbourne. All eleven degrees and rain, rain, rain, rain. Puddles, wellingtons, rain pants. That's another observation of the Torontonians we made today - they are so well equipped for every weather eventuality. They all have wellies. Melbournians don't walk around in Wellies. Hell, Melbournians are lucky if they even own a raincoat. They all have umbrellas of course, but that's just the start for these people. It's really quite cool. Canadians are very practical people. That's why Ian's at home here.
We popped up to The Shops at Don Mills for something to do today. Stupid day to choose, as it's so wet and it's Toronto's only outside shopping experience. But we had an excellent lunch at Glow (same place I went to with Jehrom and Sally).
Just delicious. Then back home to pack for our BIG exciting trip tomorrow.
